Professional experience
Economist with extensive experience in the financial industry, serving as CFO of Banco Itaú Chile for 10 years. Other positions in the same group include: General Manager of Itaú Chile Compañía de Seguros de Vida, Alternate Director and Member of the Audit Committee of Banco Itaú-Corpbanca, Director of Itaú Inversiones y Servicios S.A. and President of Itaú Corredora de Bolsa.
Additionally, he served as CFO of Banco Corpbanca, Planning Manager of AFP Provida, CFO of Banco BHIF, Research Manager of Santander Investment, Research Manager of Midway Guaranty, Sub-Manager of Studies at Banco de Santiago and Head of the Studies Department at SBIF (CMF).
In terms of consultancies, his participation in projects related to the social security world, IDB, World Bank and regulatory issues stands out. He has also served as professor of various chairs at the Universities of Chile, Santiago and Gabriela Mistral.
